16/11/11 - Relocation of the brewery - UPDATED!

Planning permission has been granted to relocate The Funfair Brewery to the former function room at the rear of The Chequers Inn. New Brewing Equipment will see continued growth of our Microbrewery from a 5 barrel to a 10 barrel plant. Work will begin on improving the former function room in Winter 2011 with a view to be brewing on site by the beginning of April 2012.

David will be joined by an apprentice assistant Brewer, Oliver Ault, who lives in the village and has shown a keen interest in the project since we bought the pub in 2010. Abigail will be managing the sales & administrative side of the business and will be joined by her glamorous sidekick Joanne Marshall. There will be part time vacancies for a Drayman and additional brewery labourer as well as increased bar shifts in the pub.

The plan is to continue brewing the quality core beers Funfair has become famous for but to push David's innovative brewing style further with the development of further new beers to complement Funfair's quirky style. There are also plans to revamp some of the earlier brews done by David when he first established Funfair in 2004 so look out for some old brews with a new twist!
